CHAPTER SIX

“I’ve got a great plan” J announced to Sean.
“Now THAT’S what I call news,”mumbled Sean.
J decide to ignore that remark and continued:”Let’s throw a party at our flat to celebrate summer.”
When Sean raised his eyebrows looking out of the window, where it was raining, he added:”Well, theoretically.”
“That’s actually a GOOD idea, mate” replied Sean. “What a surprise.”
“Sure. Hey I’ll call the girls, okay? I think Saturday will do fine.” J picked up the phone as Sean nodded his agreement.
“Hi Dee,” Sean heard him say. “How are you? Good, good. Hey listen, we wanna throw a party at our flat on Saturday, can you make that?”
J listened (amazing, right!) to Wendy for a bit, then said :”yeah sure, bring em along. That’s alright.”
Dee talked again, and suddenly J started to laugh. “She did what!”he exclaimed, still grinning. “Yeah, you’d better go. See ya, bye.”
J put the phone back in the cradle. Shaking his head laughing he turned to Sean.”You gotta hear this mate.”he said. “You won’t believe what happened to Tamara.”

Daphne stepped back inside the girls’ apartment again and looked quickly in the mirror. The wheater was awful and she expected her hair to be so as well. True enough. Her halflong red curly hair was a mess. She grabbed a comb and leaned forward with her hair for her face to put it up in a ponytail.
“Hey, cousin It” she suddenly heard. Daphne looked aside and saw a pair of black boots. She looked up and saw Amanda, one of their friends, since they had moved to London. Amanda was quite petite, had brown hair with funky red highlights and grey eyes. “Funny,” she commented.”But aren’t you a bit old for Addams Family?”
Amanda grinned. “You don’t really believe in locks, do you?”she asked. “I can always walk in.”
“The bill will be presented to you at the end of the month”replied Daphne, finishing her hair. The two girls walked into the living room together.
“Hey Daph are you there?” Dee asked when she heard the door crack open.
“No” her friend replied. “I’m still at Rich’s. This is just my clone.”she rolled her eyes.
Amanda shook her head. “There’s no way there can be talked to you today, is there?”she said.
“Is there ever a time it IS possible then?”commented Dee. “Seriously though. Tam’s in trouble.”
“Tamara’s always in trouble.”
Abs came out of the kitchen at that point.”Have you told her?”he asked Dee. Suddenly his eyes got big as his glare caught Amanda. “I don’t believe we met, did we?” he asked. Amanda shook her head, but Wendy cut in. “Tamara thought it might be funny if she jumped into a pond.”she told Daphne.
“So what?”
“Nothing so what! A park attendant brought her and some other girl apparently with her to the police office after Tam said he was a big bald fatass watching the grass grow for money.”
In about twenty minutes, Daphne had restored enough to walk, and Dee and her headed for the police office…(known surroundings of course, heheh)

“Well” said Amanda after an uneasy silence had fallen when Dee and Daphne had left the apartment, “I think I should go. I think those three are occupied for the moment.”
Abs nodded thoughtfully. “You’re right. Could I drive you home?”
“I don’t even know who you are!”
“Abs Breen. Now you know. But who are you?”
“My name’s Amanda. If you insist..” she smiled at the poor lad, completely under her spell, “I live in Queens.”
Not much later the two drove away in Abs’ car in silence, both desperately trying to find a wayto open the conversation. “So what do you do in dailylife?”they asked eachother in exact the same moment. They laughed at the confusion, then both said:”You start.”
Abs grinned.”I’m in a popgroup.”
Amanda rolled her eyes. “I KNOW. Who doesn’t? You’re from Five. I haven’t been locked in the bathroom with a bag over my head the past years. You are FAMOUS, remember?”
“Guess it’s not a thing you get used to easily. But what about you?”
“I’m a student. Boring huh?I go to school with Daph.”
“Oh. Are you from here?”
“I’m obvious right? I’m from Chicago, but I won a scholarship. I guess that’s what the girls and i have in common. They aren’t from here either. We talk about it, ya know…It’s so great over here, but sometimes I like, miss my friends. Oh, we’re almost there, on the left, that large flat.”
“I see. Hey my friends throw a party Saturday, would you like to come too?” he asked as he parked the car. Amanda smiled at him and answered:”Sure, I’d love to.” She opened the door and got out. “I’m looking forward on seeing you again, Abs!” she yelled over her shoulder. Abs waited with driving away until he saw her disaapear, a silly grin on his face…
