J
Yeah, like Scott said, it was a real weird time. We had no sense what so ever what was going on, until ‘Lindsey’ tried to seduce me. Yuk yuk yuk. I usually don’t mind but this was like really disgusting and no, I will NOT go in detail about it. The only thing I will say about it is this: We were alone in the living room, me still drugged and she sat herself next to me. "You know I really like you" she said.
"Uh huh" I replied (or something similar: i told you we were there, but we weren’t : it was really much like being drugged)
"Well.." she continued, and she put one hand on my cheek (DISGUST DISGUST DISGUST)
Now don’t say I’m being horrible Rich. She didn’t kick it with you.
That really did it, I suppose. I slapped her hand away and jumped up, suddenly having all my senses again, and I felt via some strange link, the other lads snapping out of it as well. I ran towards to the door and ran out into the snow. From various directions, I saw the guys, but strangely enough no one else. "Lads!" I yelled. "We gotta get out of here! Let’s find Rob ourselves and beat it!"
Another silly thing happened: everyone actually agreed.
"That cabin!" shouted Abs over the hard wind. "It’s the only place we haven’t been yet!"
We started running towards the cabin, but several metres before, something unnatural struck us and we all went down having a tight feeling around the neck, where those amulets still hung.
Rich already told you I believe, I found out how they worked. But for safety, as we didn’t really wanted them to get angry, I still wore it. I’ve always been quite good with knots, but this was the most difficult one I’ve ever seen. It had something to do with excisting in two different places in the same time-it still gives me a headache when I think of it.
Of course you can guess what happened then. The bad guys appeared. Christ, this is beginning to look like a bad movie.
"You cannot go" ‘Kate’ told us in a cold voice.
"Watch it!" I replied between gritted teeth, as it really hurt being held to the ground by whatever it was.
"You will not see Rob Barnes back" she continued. "But if you behave nicely now maybe we’ll let you die without too much pain."
"Do we have to kill them?"’Lindsey’ whined, her hand on the cheek I’d slapped.
"Yes" was her companion’s simple answer. "We do. It was fun as long as it lasted, lads."
With that, she pulled Rich up, who was the closest to her and he moaned being forced through the barrier that had struck us down.
Rich
Yeah, that really hurt. It was very unnatural being forced through and she simply did it. But now I could see the cabin from up close, and yes, behind one of the windows a very familiar face: it was Rob. I opened my mouth to shout at him, but found that the blow of coming through the barrier had taken all my breath and I couldn’t make any sound at all. Kate, however, noticed my intentions and she tightened the grip via the amulet, making me gasp for air. I really thought we were done for. I saw no way out of here, in the middle of nowhere in Russia with two lunatics with extraordinary powers who were planning to kill us. Not exactly the way I intended to leave the world. But yes, something unexpected happened to even the odds. The door of the cabin was blown out of its frame and fell into the snow, and someone stepped out. Was it Superman? Spidey? Super Dave?(This one’s exclusively for Dee-note of the author) Nah, it was Rob Barnes. He kicked Kate in the back, forcing her to let go of me and I fell forward in the snow, and a quick shove of my foot was enough to get Lindsey down to stop her from helping her companion. With the two girls down, the barrier was suddenly gone and the lads came to help us.
"Take off those amulets first" shouted Sean, having a bright moment and we all followed his example, and threw them as far away as we could. There wasn’t much left of the girls’ bravery then. They crawled for us, but we didn't give in! Hell no! They were delivered neatly with the police. When we watched the police car drive away with them, Scott asked Rob how he had been able to brake free all of a sudden.
"Well" our tour manager explained, "when that gal..um, I don’t know her name…"
"We don’t either" I said. "But we call her Kate. The other one’s Lindsey."
Rob nodded. "Fitting. Anyway, when Kate tightened her grip on Rich, she loosened up on my grip, she’d only bounded me with that stupid necklace, so I could brake free."
"Fair enough" said J, and not much later we were on our way to the airport, in total silence. And thus it happened, the one we intended to save, saved us first. As J said, fair enough.
Well just one thing left to say. I know this was sorta (SORTA??!!) a silly story, but you know…you gotta do SOMETHING when it’s raining.
