CHAPTER THREE

SEAN

Those people were tiring. They sent us around in the city, until we arrived at a small, dark alley, just the five of us. We were instructed to stay the night there, in the morning someone would pick us up. We weren’t really willing. I mean, I can’t say it’s all that comfy sleeping on the street, and we are no tramps after all. J installed himself on a garbage can. "I wouldn’t think it’s wise to go to sleep here" he said. You’re kidding me.
"I think they’re watching us" said Rich. "I have that feeling."
He was right, of course. Rich feeling’s are usually right. It’s hard to put a finger on it. i suppose it’s just a thing he does.
"So we can’t go away from here either" added Abs.
"Could we make a plan fast?" asked Scott. "it’s freezing out here."
Well we ALL noticed that. Rich looked up at the stars. "The morning’s not far" he said thoughtfully. "One and a half, maybe two hours. They’d be here at sunset, so why don’t we all follow J’s example and try to rest."
That’s the most decent plan I’ve ever heard from Rich’s mouth. We all agreed, and tried to rest. The night went by without further inceidents. The next morning, two hours later as Rich predicted, the same girl as before appeared and ordered us to take place in a truck. I don’t think any of us remembers something from the trip as we all slept.

One more thing. Sleeping on a garbage can is NOT comfortable.

Scott

The ride was very noisy and bumpy, and for the second time I was considering if Rob was really worth all this. Nah, just kiddin’, I like him. Sometimes.
Anyway, by that time, we all were quite under the influence of the amulets as we later discovered. We didn’t question things anymore and just did as we were told. Somewhere at the back of my head something told me it wasn’t alright, but that was hushed too soon. The others felt the same, I know now, and actually, it was all quite dangerous as they had us totally under control and the agents that were supposed to follow us had lost our trail. We didn’t know that, of course.
After a four hour ride we arrived at some kind of farm. From there, it starts to get alll misty. My mind blurs when I try to count the days we spend there and makes my head ache. Not less than four, but not more than nine, I think, but I’m still not sure, because the agents insist it were only two days they lost our track.
"Kate" and her friend, a fat, plumpy girl with brown hair and dark eyes we started to call Lindsey gently guided us into a routine that was peaceful and undisturbed, until Lindsey tried too kick off with J. That was her mistake. If I try, I can still feel the bang at the back of my head when reality jumped down back on us.
