The next morning Sir Scott left the Royal castle.In the West he could see some strange shadows circle around the top of a mountain. “Must be birds.”he muttered while he spurred his horse and rode away…
It was right after sunrise when Sean was sitting in the wet grass outside the castle,staring at the sky and enjoying some time on his own.At once a dark shadow blocked the sunlight,which was shining onto Sean’s face.The boy opened his eyes again and thought he could hear his heart stop beating as he noticed what was causing the darkness:a huge dragon!
Sean jumped to his feet and ran back inside.Jason was still asleep when Sean came running into his room and shook him roughly.
“What the hell do you want this early in the morning!?”Jason yelled.The boy backed away a bit but still replied excited”You got to get up right now!There are dragons outside!”
“What!?Sean,have you been smoking opium or something like that?Dragons do not exist!”
“I’m not crazy!There’s a dragon flying through the sky!You got to get the army!”
Jason shot Sean a dirty look but got up anyway.
“Alright then but I’m telling you,if you are playing a trick on me I’ll kick your scrawny,little arse!”
Jason kicked the door open and almost ran back inside again at the sight in front of him.The dragon was circling around the castle,screaming high.
“Oh God,we got to do something!”Jason said while getting back inside again and pulling Sean with him.The two men ran downstairs to ask the other men in the castle for help…
Richard was sitting in one of the rooms he and Lily shared.When he got up Lily wasn’t there and he didn’t like that at all.He reconsidered his decision of last evening.It would be good Scott was out of the way for a while.Suddenly the door was thrown open wide and Lily ran into the room.
“Richard!”she yelled.He looked up with a smile.
”Yes my beloved wife.”he said,not without sarcasm.
“Where’s Scott!?”
“How should I know?I don’t keep him in my bed.”
“You’ve killed him!You promised me you wouldn’t!”Lily sank down on a chair and began to cry.Richard looked in disapproval at her.
“Oh hush you little foolish girl!He ain’t dead!I’ve sent him back to Sharia to inform my father about your brother and us staying here!”
She looked up surprised and opened her mouth,but before she could say something Jason and Sean barged in excited with a very,very strange story…
The army was discussing a plan to chase the dragons away but their biggest problem was the appointment of a new commander.Soon Jason was the new leader and the replacement of Roderick.Jason was extremely happy with his new title but at the same time excited to lead a battle.In the meantime a group of at least twelve dragons had arrived at the castle,flying against the walls and windows.Everyone that has had doubts about the existence of the fabulous creatures was now more than sure that they were extremely dangerous.
Jason was running around the castlewalls,shouting orders at everyone.Suddenly he noticed the Sharian Prince walking up the stairs.A smile crept on his face and he walked towards him.
“So.”he said”Now you can show your Sharian skills,huh?”
Richard looked at him and said in a hauntain tone”This ain’t my war.Everybody knows a neighbourland must be asked to join the forces first.”
Jason grinned.”I know that,my Prince.”he replied sarcastic before adding”But do the rules forbid to use some Sharian fool as bait for some dragons,too?”
The knights that were standind near them went silent,watching the discussion curiously.Richard’s face turned pale.
“You can’t be serious.”
“I am,I am.”
Richard looked angry at Jason but knew he wouldn’t find back-up in the Chrohnachian castle.
“Alright.”Richard said.”But how do you want me to ask for Sharian forces?My own knight has already gone.”
“We will send a dove.”
The expression on Richard’s face was so furious at that moment it’s a good thing looks can’t kill.
“You’ll sorry this one day Sir Jason.”Richard hissed before walking away.
“I’m sure I will my Prince,I’m sure I will.”…
