She had been watching him for weeks now,every Saturday night she came all the way from Surrey especially for him,and only him.Ever since that night back in November when her mate Ashley had taken her to this club,she had developed a huge crush on “her” D.J.
He had something mysterious:maybe it were his pretty brown eyes,perhaps his cheeky grin,which could be seen every now and then.She didn’t really know what it was that made him so special but she did know that she kept thinking about him 24/7.
She watched as he changed the record,the loud housebeat changing into a funkier 2-step track.
She stood up and decided to spend some time on the dancefloor.A guy soon joined her,obviously more than just a little drunk.She danced with him for a few minutes,just to be polite,but then she excused herself and made her way over to the D.J.-booth.
The mysterious D.J. was talking to another guy,laughing at what seemed to be a joke.But then,all of a sudden,he looked in her direction and smiled at her.
Her heart began beating faster at that small moment,that moment that seemed to take an eternity.Soon that magic second had past and he was concentrating on his work again.
She just stood there dumbfound for a little while before she returned to her table again.She sipped from her drink,trying to let everything sink in.
“Hey,can I join you?”a voice suddenly asked.
She turned around in her seat and to her shock HE was standing behind her.She just gave a small nod,not able to speak right then.
The mysterious D.J. just sat across from her and said”It’s your sixth time here now,right?And ever since I first saw you back in November I just keep wondering what your name is.”
She smiled back at him and replied”It’s Julie.And do you know what’s strange?I always imagined what your name is,too.”
“I’m Richard but just call me Abs.”
Julie grinned.”Abs?”
“Yeah,it’s from my middle name,Abidin.”
Suddenly a man approached the table and yelled over the music”Abs!We gotta leave!”
“Coming J!”
The D.J. looked at Julie and stated”Well,you heard him.I gotta get up early tomorrow for work.”
He got up and gave Julie a gentle good-bye kiss on the cheek.
“Bye Julie.See you next Saturday,alright?”
Before she even had the chance to say something in reply,Abs had left.She twirled around,just in time to see him leaving the building,his mate following him.
Julie leaned back in her chair,touching her cheek where Abs had kissed her,and sighed,knowing this was only the beginning for her mysterious D.J. and herself…
