CHAPTER SEVEN

"Awww Scott!" Kerry gushed as she rushed over to her beloved one. Scott's smile appeared again as Kerry warped her arms around his neck. "Oh Scott, thank God you're okay."
Scott raised his hand a bit and took a hold of Kerry's hand, crossing their fingers together. He blinked his eyes at her with another smile to let her know how much he'd missed her. Tears were pouring down her face as she leaned over and placed a kiss on Scott's lips, "I thought we were gonna lose you."
Abs was watching the whole scene from the corner of the room with teary eyes and folded arms. He'd missed Scott just as much, and he was thanking God he was able to see his bandmate alive once again. Not fully in action but just the thought Scott was going to be all right was enough for him. He had called the other lads earlier and told them that Scott was awake but not able to speak - mind you, it wasn't such bad news for neither of them... Abs chuckled lightly. 'I think I can handle with a quiet Scott for awhile,' he thought as he made his way towards Scott, placing his hand on Scott's shoulder. "Alright?"
Scott faintly nodded, just as the doctor walked into the room. "Wakey wakey, are we?" he chuckled as he placed some papers next to Scott's bed. "How are you feeling Mr Robinson?"
"He still can't talk," Kerry said worriedly, caressing her fiance's forehead.
The doctor smiled warmly. "Actually, he just needs a bit of rest. He's probably a bit too tired to talk."
"Oh really?" Abs grinned, folding his arms together. "Did you hear that, Scott? Maybe next time we want you to shut up we'll worn you out!"
Scott smiled and coughed lightly. "Kerry," he whispered, she looked up at the doctor and Abs. "Scott - don't," she said. "Get a bit of rest, I'll be waiting outside for you." Her lover just pouted jokingly before the doctor said,"I think I'll have to speak with Mr Robinson personally for a few minutes. I'd like him to understand the situation at the moment and his state."
"Alright," Abs said, wrapping one arm around Kerry and leaving the room. "We'll be waiting outside, alright mate?"
"Did you call the police?!" Liz snapped, backing away from the window.
"The police?!" Cheri gasped. "What are you talking about?!"
"There are cops standing in our doorway, that's what I'm talking about!!!"
"I didn't call them, if that's what you mean!"
"So who did?!"
They both stared at each other, freezing the moment someone knocked on the door. They'd gone out and stayed in Cheri's father's home as he would be away for two weeks as Liz'd somehow lost the keys to her flat in Surrey. They had made sure the car was returned so the police wouldn't suspect.
"Miss Elizabeth Branning?" a male voice asked. "Are you there?"
Liz and Cheri exchanged looks, taking a deep breath Cheri whispered, "Go on. Act cool like nothing's happened."
"How did they find out?!" she hissed.
"They can't arrest you anyway! You're only 17!"
"Miss Branning?"
Swallowing hard and praying for her life, Liz walked over to the door and greeted the person with a smile. "Hello officer. Is something wrong?"
"Miss Elizabeth Branning?" he raised his eyebrows, she slowly nodded. "Seems like weve found your home keys."
She mentally sighed in relief. "Oh, lovely."
The officer handed her the keys, "Just a friendly tip... next time don't write your home address and phone-number on the keys-set, it could have been a burgler instead of me."
"Right, how silly of me," she smiled, taking the keys.
"I've phoned this number and the lady over there told me I'd be able to find you here."
"Probably me mum. Thank you officer," she replied and tried to close the door but he pushed it back with his hand.
"So this is your set of keys indeed, Miss?"
"Yeah..." she replied uneasily. He coughed as he shut a set of handcuffs around her hands, "Elizabeth Branning, you are under arrest in suspect of attempted murder of Mr Scott Robinson. Anything you say may -"
"What?!" she gasped, "What are you talking about?! I havent done anything!"
He pulled her closer by the handcuffs. "Like I said - don't leave your personal information attached to the keys. They were found in a car that was last rented to you and left black lacquer on Mr Robinson's car." He smiled and pulled her into the awaiting patrol.
"You are under arrest."
