CHAPTER FIVE

Just as a matter of fate it was raining when Alette walked out of the house and her tears were lost in the water. A part of her wanted to run back to comfort that guy she loved so much, but she made herself walk on. She ran away from the love of her life. Suddenly she became aware of where she was walking. Scott live in this street. She shivered in the cold and sneezed. "Might as well go up there" she mumbled to herself. "It doesnt really matter anymore now."
Luckily Scott was home. "What happened to you?" he asked surprised.
"Rich threw me out of the house" she answered, then began sobbing uncontrollably, and told him everything.
"You gotta tell Rich" he insisted.
"No Scott, I dont want him to be hurt, please do this for me."

Where has she gone?
Rich nervously paced up and down his living room and regretted sending Alette out in the rain on her own. "I shouldnt have" he said to himself. "Maybe shell be ill and its my fault"
He tried to sleep, without any succes. Early in the morning, his phone rang. "Alette?" he asked.
"Its me, Scott. Mate, youd better come over here. She didnt want me to tell you but nows shes in the hospital and"
"Hospital? Is she ill? I should never have sent her away in that rain! Its all my fault."
"No Rich, listen. Its not that. Look, come over here. She needs you more than anything."

Am I dreaming, or is this heaven?
Alette stared at Rich standing in the doorway. She was in one of those sickening white hospitalbeds and felt "plugged in" after all the tests. "Honey" Shed always recognize that voice. In two steps he was next to her. "Why did you lie to me? I love you Alette.."
"I love you too, and I dont want to hurt you"
"You cant, darling. Life can hurt me, but this is fate, and Ill take it. I will be with you forever, whenever you need me. I wont ever leave you."
"Oh Rich." They embrace eachother and both cried, until they heard a soft cough. A doctor entered the room. "We are so sorry miss Kreuze, but we seem to have made a mistake." he said slightly embarassed. "Your cancer is benign. You wont die, a small operation will cure you completely. But theres something else." He cleared his throat. "It looks like youre pregnant, Miss."

THE END!!!!!!!!!!!!
