You are Blessed if you woke up today,
and doubly so if if you took the time to pray.

You are Blessed if your body is working at all,
some folks wake up and on others must call.

You are Blessed if you have an earthly friend,
they are treasures which God lovingly sends.

You are Blessed if there is a roof over your head,
some folks have the street for their bed.

You are Blessed if you have someone's love,
there are those only cared for by God above.

You are Blessed if there is food on your plate,
some folks are hungry but must still wait.

You are Blessed if you've got laundry piled high,
there are those with none to wash or dry.

You are Blessed if change is weighing your purse down,
some find none after scrounging around.

You are Blessed if you need work done on your car,
some must walk no matter how far.

You are Blessed if the children upset you today,
some people have none and none on the way.

You are Blessed if someone despitefully uses you,
you will see how it hurts and what not to do.

You are Blessed when troubles come each day,
the Bible says our patience is formed this way.

You are Blessed when nothing seems to go right,
then you are more likely to pray that night.

You are Blessed if pain is overtaking you,
some folks can't feel no matter what they do.

Count your Blessings and get a new perspective,
you will find this life is not so defective.

We're Blessed more than we ever knew,
lets start thanking God by doing all we're blessed to do.
