When we can surrender it over to the Father,
the question is "Why try harder"?

Why should we worry and fret,
when we haven't given Him everything yet?

Why be filled with tension and care,
Jesus said our every burden He'd bear.

Take them to the cross lay them down,
you needn't carry them all around.

God never intended us to make it alone,
this is the truth our Bible has shown.

We are to depend on Him for all our need,
give Him our burdens our faults and greed.

Realizing that even the changes He requires,
are changes that the Holy Spirit inspires.

He accepts us just where we are,
reaching down to save us no matter how far.

There is nothing you could have done,
that isn't covered by the death of God's Son.

There is nothing you can change on your own,
so let's surrender as we're shown.

Let's believe receive and surrender our all,
as we humbly before Him on our knees fall.

The Heavenly Host await directions from our Father,
so I ask again "Why Try Harder"?
