Lord if there has to be too much of anything in me,
please let it be too much love and a desire to know thee.

Lord let my love of you fill my day,
may I desire always to give more of it away.

May the words I speak teach others of you,
may I strive always to be learning anew.

May my actions speak even louder than my words each day,
thereby leading others to look your way.

May the things upon which I choose to glance,
enrich my mind so as my knowledge to enhance.

May the creations of yours which I behold,
remind me of the things which the Bible foretold.

May everything I think say or do,
cause others to see my love for you.

May I live my entire life in such a way,
that brings honor and glory to you I pray.

Too much love and too much desire,
may these be those that set my heart afire.
