There are times when trials threaten to overcome me,
then I remember a scripture I've read and a new light I see.

You see there is a comfort in knowing God's Holy Word,
a comfort beyond any other that you may have heard.

There is a peace that passeth our understanding,
and this peace can see you through any trial that life may bring.

Read in 2nd Peter chapter 1 verse 2,
that through the knowledge of God both peace and grace are given to you.

We must remember that God loves us and is never mean,
but even he cannot remind you of verses you have never seen.

When life is calm and no trial is in sight,
open his word and he will give you knowledge with much delight .

Then when you face a situation you aren't  sure that you can go through,
God will remind you of a scripture and strengthen you.

Yes that is the thing that I want most for you to see,
that where I am weak "He strengthens me!"
