The Spirit of God's Son resides within my heart,
promising never ever to depart.

The very same Spirit that guided him in prayer,
the One who all His grief did share.

The very same Spirit who led the way,
and provided strong faith Satan couldn't sway.

The Spirit who gave Him the words He said,
was in Gethsemane with Him as He bled.

The Spirit who allowed forgiveness in pain,
and was there with Him as He rose to life again.

The Spirit who is now my Teacher in life,
my Comforter when I encounter strife.

The Spirit who provides the faith I need,
and the strength on which to proceed.

The Spirit given us from a God above,
due to His unconditional love.

The Spirit who'll guide us home one day,
and fills in for us when we know not what to pray.

The Spirit of God's Son now lives in my heart,
extending an offer so you too can take part.
