Range of Emotions
by Barbara Philbrook

There's grief in my heart since you're gone,
but the grace of God is what I rely on.

There's joy in the knowledge that you were my friend,
and gratefulness your suffering has come to an end.

There's sorrow for those you left behind,
and gratitude for the solace I know they'll find.

There'll be some pain perhaps I'll shed a tear,
but I'll still have my memories to treasure and hold dear.

There'll be times when I'll wish you were here with me,
but then I'll remember our destiny.

As Brothers in Christ who've had our sins washed away,
we'll be together again one day.

Together again for all eternity,
a fact that gives great comfort to me.
