Sometimes I can hardly stand the pain I feel,
other times I can't believe what I heard is real.

Sometimes the things said tear me apart,
other times they never even reach into my heart.

Sometimes words have an adverse impact on me,
other times they don't have any effect you see.

Sometimes my ears are blocked so I don't hear,
instead God whispers of His love and draws me near.

God promised me I'd have no more than I could take,
and my friend God has never ever made a mistake.

If we surrender to Him every day as we should,
He will use all things that happen for our good.

It does not matter what the world thinks about you,
all that matters is what God knows to be true.

So don't give what others are thinking a second thought,
just trust in God as our Bible has taught.

He will protect you and get you through,
just as The Holy Word tell us He will do.

When someone says something in a negative way,
just take it to God as you kneel to pray.

Ask Him what He intends you to learn,
and to give you the power to be able to discern.

To know what to listen to and what to bring to the cross,
so no valuable lesson will ever be a loss.

The pain within will fade into the past,
and be totally forgotten when we get home at last.
