Open Arms
by Barbara Philbrook

I was lost in pain and shame,
when I opened The Word and saw Jesus' name.

I learned the price of my sin was paid,
when in a borrowed grave He was laid.

I discovered there is a choice to make,
explained so well I'd make no mistake.

We're each given this loving opportunity,
to choose salvation and life for eternity.

We're given a chance to serve our Savior,
and live a life of befitting behavior.

We are allowed to reach out to our fellow man,
sharing with all the Salvation Plan.

We do not deserve to be loved this way,
but He opened His arms for us all that day.
