Father My Request
by Barbara Philbrook

Father here's my earnest request,
won't You please do what's best.
Best for the one You've chosen for me,
best now and throughout eternity.

You see the end from the beginning and know what's best,
You know which way outshines the rest.
I'm being selfish and thinking of me,
so Heavenly Father I leave it all up to thee.

Give me the wisdom and the strength to proceed,
give me Dear Father all that I need.
Help me to remember that this in not only about me,
and that I can truly count on Thee.
