| Mama's
Birthday by Barbara Philbrook It's
Mama's birthday and she's no longer here. Won't be
having a party, no cake or balloons, Won't be
buying gifts to make her smile. But the
day is not sad, no not by far, No more
suffering, no more agony. No worry
over medication, the dose or time. Doesn't
need a cane so she won't stumble. Mama's
birthday will be filled with memories of the past. Memories
of joy and celebration. One day
soon we'll be together again. |
