Others are affected by everything we do and say.

Speak positively, lifting the spirits of those around you.
We know not the pain other's are going through.

Perhaps there's a sadness we do not see.
Perhaps they've been rejected heartlessly.

Maybe a pain not evident to our eye,
or feelings of inadequacy for failing at what they tried.

People suffer in their own personal way.
Some keeping it inside, others may pray.

Some talk it over with a relative or friend,
someone on whom they know they can depend.

If we are conscious of everything we do or say,
perhaps we can brighten someone's day.

It may not be evident, you may never know,
but another may benefit by the caring you show.

Live for others making life the best that it can be.
You will be glad you did throughout eternity.
