I woke up this morning filled with happiness and delight,
God You've graciously brought me through another night.

I can walk talk and hear everything you say,
Father You have granted me this brand new day.

Now may I reach every height I'm intended to reach,
and if there be a gap may I be the breach?

May I be a connection between the lost and salvation,
may I reach out and mend a broken relation?

May I help a child feeling broken and alone,
may I show them the same undying love I was shown?

Can I share with another hurting and ashamed,
that all they need do is call out Jesus' name?

How about those caught in bondage and sin,
can I instruct them to simply invite Jesus in?

Can I do all of the things I'm supposed to do,
I can if  I've completely surrendered to You?

So accept my surrender of all I am and can ever be,
Lord I give my all completely to Thee.

I give you my mind my heart and my soul,
I keep nothing back my surrender is whole.

Take me where you want me to be,
so that I may be of the most use to Thee.

Use my mouth to speak only your  truth,
reaching out to all ages from the elderly to the youth.

Take my mind and fill it with thoughts of love and devotion,
wiping it clean of any selfish notion.

Give me wisdom discernment and loving compassion,
please don't allow me to be distracted by any infraction.

I woke up this morning Father and I surrender this day,
that I may serve you well is what I pray.
