Heed the Word that's been given to you,
every word of it is absolutely true.
Repent of all of the bad you've done in the past,
you'll be born again at last.

Accept salvation it's given for free,
wiping out of your sin takes place immediately.
Free of bad habits and desires of the heart,
immediately upon salvation the changes start.

Becoming a new creature so the world can see,
that surrendering to God sets one free.
One can never accomplish the changes alone,
this is a truth our Bible has shown.

The Holy Spirit who moves in to reside,
does all of that changing from the inside.
Being a comforter is His other chore,
so we never feel overcome or alone anymore.

One day soon we'll hear Jesus calling to you and me,
bringing us home for eternity.
Heed the Word it's God's loving direction,
guiding us each to lives of perfection.
