Harvest Time
by Barbara Philbrook

Harvest time is when we reap what we sow,
when planters of crops collect what they grow.

After dispersing the seeds and cultivating them for a season,
the gleaning of the crop is delightfully pleasing.

Faithfully having removed weeds and battling garden pests,
barely taking time in between to rest.

Now at this the culmination of the season,
comes the purpose of why we plant this is the reason.

Harvest time when we gather in the crop,
when we know if our work was proficient or not.

There is also a Spiritual Harvest coming due,
when we'll know if our service to God is adept too.

In this work only the planting of the seed is our part,
God takes over once the seed is in the recipient's heart.

We let the light of Jesus shine from within,
so the seed can get established and their new life begin.

God does the nurturing and the pruning you see,
leading each precious soul on to their own destiny.

Harvest time for God is just about here,
when the yield is brought home will your share be there?

Will the seeds you were to disperse have grown,
or will it be bare where they were to be sown?

Harvest Time is fast drawing near,
you will want every soul you could have reached to be there.

So plant the seeds plant them well,
let's reach all that we can let's save them from Hell.
