Grant me grace to see me through,
Heavenly Father is what I ask You to do.

Help those who love me to be really strong,
and please don't allow them to suffer long.

I know there's a lesson in each thing we go through,
help me to learn so I may serve You.

Grant me the wisdom and strength I need,
so that forward in Your work I can proceed.

Allow me to live so that I leave a legacy,
that assures the world I knew Thee.

That I accepted and fully believed,
and thereby my salvation received.

May all I love know we will be together again,
though none of us know exactly when.

Together again as we meet at the gate,
with whoever arrives first being there to wait.

Life here is but the twinkling of an eye,
we'll be together forever in the great by and by.
