Lord I'm looking forward to the day when there'll be no more goodbyes,
they make my heart ache and they bring tears into my eyes.

There are people who we love Lord who we have to be away from,
who we can't always see or talk to or if we need them to just say come.

The distance makes it difficult to enjoy the time we'd like to share rather than to be apart,
it gives us this constant ache within our heart.

But there is that time to look forward to Lord when we'll all be home with you,
and in that day Lord saying goodbye is something we will never have to do.

Oh how I'm looking forward to that day Lord I'll be thrilled when finally it is here,
but until that day comes Lord our goodbyes will still cause a few tears.

There is much to do to give everyone a chance to make the choice that they must make,
so I must be careful of the time I let those tears take.

Thank You Lord for teaching me about the choice that I made to accept salvation from you,
and for allowing me to share your story of love with others as you've permitted me to.

Thank You Lord for giving us the knowledge that we will one day be with you to stay,
and thank you for the time each day that you allow us to come to you to pray.

Thank You Lord for the tears that goodbye's make us shed,
all the more we'll appreciate it when there's no more need of  tears due to  things we dread.

Thank You Lord for loving us and for allowing us to love each other too,
Thank you Lord most of all just for being You!
