Fifty years together, known to most as the golden anniversary,
but oh those fifty years are an inspiration to me.

Fifty years of discussions, debates and sometimes more,
but I see togetherness, love and a tendency to adore.

I see determination to make it work right,
no matter that there may have been a sleepless night.

Nothing more important than success in your life as one,
this must have been determined when your union was first begun.

God bless you for all you both have given and for all you have done,
God bless you for succeeding as one.

But most of all I'd like to thank you from the bottom of my heart,
because your loving example has given my marriage a beautiful start.

To have your life as a pattern makes our life easier you see,
and I wanted to express what that means to me.

Thank you for your love, thank you for your son,
but thank you most of all for showing me how to live as one.
