Grief, anger, fear and adversity,
these are no longer governing me.

I sought and found truth in God's Holy Word,
and something wonderful has occurred.

I surrender anew each and every day,
and the Holy Spirit guides me to live God's way.

I needn't fear what others may do,
God has granted me the grace to see me through.

Sometimes words have an adverse effect on me,
but when I take it to God I am given serenity.

Once in a while a gnawing fear may start,
I call on the Father and He soothes my heart.

"Fear not, my child" is His admonition,
and I for one haven't regretted my decision.
