Throughout the old testament the coming of a Savior was told,
but when He arrived the reception was bitterly cold.

Many words had been told to tell them what to expect,
yet when He came, He was greeted with disrespect.

Love and healing was what He offered to each,
it was His greatest desire to enlighten and teach.

Reaching out to those who thirsted for truth,
He wants us each to return to the faith of our youth.

"Except you be converted and become as little children,
the Kingdom of Heaven you shall not enter in"

Jesus said those very words in Matthew eighteen verse three,
open your Bible and you too will see.

We must seek to see with our eyes open wide,
then we must invite Jesus to come within to reside.

The faith needed is bestowed freely from above,
God provides it purely out of deep love.

If you need more faith just ask for it in prayer,
our heavenly Father answers every request sent there.

Our eyes are blinded by the sins of this world,
but God desires to open them so His truths will be unfurled.

The writers of the Bible were led by the Holy Spirit as to what to say,
we need His interpretation in the very same way.

Our eyes are then opened and our comprehension expands,
what once seemed foreign we now understand.

Eyes that do not see what the Savior did,
eyes that can be opened to reveal what once lay hid.
