The cross is empty there is nothing there for you to see,
our savior has risen to be with his father and make a home there for you and me.

There is no charge your home was paid for much in advance,
we are all welcome to accept or decline everyone gets that chance.

Can you imagine loving so deeply and so unconditionally,
that he gave up all his glory and came to this earth to pay the way there for you and me.

To live a life so perfect and so free of sin,
that because he was crucified you and I can live there with him.

Yes the cross is empty but it has a story yet to tell,
how the savior came from glory to keep all of us from hell.

Once that story has been made clear and you know that  it is true,
and when you've accepted the reservation that Jesus has made for you.

No one gives the order that you must share what you now know,
but if you react the way I did you'll want to share it with everyone everywhere you go.

The things that once were so important that many hours on them you'd dwell,
all seem so insignificant now all you think of are how many can I tell.

You want with all of your heart to get the word out to all that you can,
Jesus came and died for us for each and every man.

You start looking at friendships in a completely different way,
why you can't imagine life everafter without them so for their understanding you begin to pray.

Being a grand-parent is always a special treat,
but once you've accepted Jesus you are desperate that those precious grand-children also their savior will meet.

You want all of the loved ones in your family,
to come to know what you know and to see what you now see.

When you learn to give everything to your father above,
the peace he gives to you  is something to share with everyone  you love.

Yes the cross is empty but that's the most amazing part,
because the cross is empty you can welcome Jesus into your heart.

Won't you invite Jesus to live within your heart,
then when we all go home to live with him you too will take part.
