It's A Good Thing
by Barbara Philbrook

It's a good thing my success doesn't count on me,
because I'd never arrive is the reality.

It's a good thing it's not my strength on which I rely,
I'm so weak I could barely try.

It's a good thing the words I speak aren't my own,
that's what exodus 4:12 has shown.

It's a good thing God sends us a Comforter,
I'd collapse under pressure that's for sure.

It's a good thing those who seek find,
that's how I got this all straight in my mind.

It's a good thing those who knock are allowed in,
left on my own I'd have been lost in sin.

It's a good thing God hears and answers prayer,
and I for one am grateful He's there.
