Damage - Athos' starts off maxed in Magic, an S in every type of Magic, and he has Forblaze. Of course his damage is high.
Critical - Athos' Skill is 24, a relatively good critical with Luna equipped. Since you get two, he should have one.
Speed - Athos' starts at 20 Speed. That's nothing special, but he still usually hits twice.
Dodge - Athos' dodge is 65, which is very good for a spellcaster.

Rating: 9/10. While he is one of the best characters in the game, you only get him for one level.
