| Fire Emblem typically has color-coded Paladins. The Red Paladins have high strength, the Green have high Speed, the Light Blue suck. Fire Emblem 7 reversed the Red and the Green part, and made Isadora better. That being said, Alan has wonderful strength gains. He's as good as Sain, if not better. However, I trained both Alan and Lance to level 1 Paladin, and they both had nearly the same strength and speed. I'm guessing they both had lucky gains. Method to Acquire: He starts with you on Chapter 1. Damage: Alan dishes out a lot of damage. Earlier on, however, Lance deals more damage simply because he hits 2x on most enemies that Alan can only strike once. Critical: Alan's critical isn't really that good, but it isn't bad either. Speed: Alan's speed is terrible to start out, making his one blow deal less damage then Lance's two blows. However, this picks up, and when it matters later on in the game, Alan will be hitting twice. Dodge: It's not so bad. Alan averages with 68 dodge, which is very good since he can get the Weapon Advantage against any type of weapon, not counting Bows. Growth Rates HP - 85% Strength - 45% Skill - 40% Speed - 45% Defense - 25% Resistence - 10% Luck - 40% Average Level 20 Paladin Alan HP - 54 Strength - 25 Skill - 21 Speed - 25 Defense - 18 Resistence - 7 Luck - 18 Total - 168 Supports Tate - 59/60/80 turns Marcus - 20/30/40 turns Wolt - 20/30/40 turns Lance - 15/30/40 turns Ward - 59/60/80 turns Roy - 20/30/40 turns Rating: 8.65/10. He's very good, and if you use him and Lance together and get their supports, they are killing machines. However, Percival still outclasses both of them AND he starts as a Paladin as well as also getting hard mode stat boosts if recruited in Chapter 15. |
