A Little About Me First...

My name is Stephanie and I live in a small town in Newberry County, South Carolina. I graduated from high school in 2001 and began attending the University of South Carolina the following fall. I am majoring in nursing, and recently was accepted to the nursing departments upper division, and will begin my work in the nursing homes and hospitals Fall of 2003. This was quite an accomplishment being my first time applying for the upper division, only 50 people out of my class got in. I was lucky enough to have one of the top GPA's of my class...so now I feel pretty smart!

Being a college student I do not have a lot of free time. There are a few things I make exceptions for and push the books away, such as old high school friends, my boyfriend of 3 years, and the topic of my webpage, my car, a 2001 Firebird!! Some people may think and probably do, that I am way to involved with it, but it is my hobby and I take a lot of pride in getting my car ready for the car shows I like to participate in with my dad (which I'll get to this later...)

I have a younger brother, Scott. We are not quite a year a part, and even though this caused a problem when we were younger, being that he has always been bigger than me (he is now a foot taller than me), he is one of my best friends now that we are older and can apprecitate each other. My family is pretty big on cars and my brother is no different. He drives a 2000 Trans Am that he puts on the race track every now and then, and he attends the Nascar Technical Institute in Mooresville (better known as Race City, USA) in North Carolina. It was difficult for me to see him move and I am very glad that he comes home on the weekends when he is not working.

Now I would like to say a little about my parents. They are definitly fun people to be around. They fully support my effort to make my 'bird the best and to look the best. My dad has a 99 Corvette that has been completley customized, like mine, and as often as possible we show our cars in the same shows if there are classes for both of us. Look for pictures of his car on this site and if you would like, visit his website I designed for him: Les's Corvette Website. Both of my parents are members of Capitol City Corvette Club of Columbia, SC. They put on a show every year and do lots of other shows, work with charities, and raise a lot of hell.

Another thing about is me is my love for animals. I have four dogs, a cat, and two horses. During high school, I worked at an animal shelter for almost three years. I watched 1000s of homeless and unloved animals be put to sleep for no reason except they didn't get adopted. So if you have a pet, take care of it, and don't take it to a shelter!

Make sure you check out the rest of my pages. There is good stuff coming... Sign my guestbook before leaving my site! Thanks!!
