Mrs. Jennifer Robinson

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched.
They must be felt with the heart.

Full name: Mrs. Jennifer Robinson

Office Hours: Wednesday, 2:15 - 3:15

As you can read, my name is Jennifer Robinson. This is my fourth year teaching at North Stafford and I am very excited. I have taught drama one, twelve standard, and ninth and tenth grade college prep. I have also worked with Gifted and Talented students in a small group setting. I live with my husband, Ed, and our three cats - Lorelei, Stormchaser and Mercutio.

Originally from north of the beltway in Montgomery County, Maryland, my heart was won over to Virginia while I attended Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!). From Tech, I earned two degrees. The first degree was a B.A. in Liberal Art with a concentration in Middle School Education, Creative Writing and Biology. My second degree from Tech is an English degree - focus in Medieval and Renaissance Literature. I worked my way east and attended William and Mary, where I earned my Master's degree in Secondary Education. As you can tell, I really believe in life long learning.

I like to think I have diverse hobbies and interests. Besides reading, I enjoy the outdoors, writing, photography and painting miniatures. I also am a fan of Japanese Animation (hence why I am the faculty sponsor for the Japanese Animation Club.) I have a real interest in the imagination and the fantastic. I love Disney as well.

My philosophy of education is very child centered. I recognize there are different needs, and I try to accommodate all needs, but I also want to challenge and push the students. I believe in high standards for all, and encourage the students to take responsibility for their learning.

Please feel free to contact me for any reason, whether it be a question about the yearbook, one of the classes I teach, or just a general interest question. I try to read and answer all my mail in a timely manner. Thanks!
