“The Plan”

 

The pieces of life are falling together

I should have known it would all work out

It’s funny how we can’t see the plan

Until the results show us what it was all about

As blind as we may feel through it all

The Light of the World is paving the way

Guiding the path of all of His followers

Helping them through their troubles each day

The Lord up above is all-seeing and all-knowing

He knows what you will say before you even think it

It’s easy to have faith in someone so powerful

And take comfort in the warmth of the almighty blanket

I place my head under His outstretched wing

Sheltered from the evils of the world

Knowing that if I wait patiently in His arms

When the time is right His plan will be unfurled

Take a look around at the things He has done

And think about the way everything worked out

Some call it consequence and some call it luck

I say Jesus is someone I can’t live without

I know that God has all the answers written down

In the story of my life He so lovingly wrote

And now I lift my voice to the highest

Knowing He will hear my cry and be my hope

The future is bright because He is guiding my way

The puzzle is being constructed more every day

When it is complete my life will be restored

And I will enter eternity with my best friend, the Lord
