“Signs”

 

May your will be done Father, whatever that may be

Please give me obvious signs to ensure that I will see

I search hard for the answers to the questions I have about my life

My mind can’t begin to grasp the things you are doing in my life

I know you have stored up a pile of riches to give to me

All I have to do is to be the follower you want me to be

But sometimes my confused human mind likes to lead me astray

I just ask that you give me a sign that will permanently guide my way

I want to live my life in a way that will surely please you

I need the wisdom to know which signs are coming from you

 

I’m at the intersection

I want to follow you

But I didn’t see which way you went

I’m sorry I fell behind

Will you please come back to get me?

 

Father, sometimes we humans are deaf and blind to your ways

Please restore our senses so we can better follow you through our days

May your will be done Father, I humble myself before you in praise.
