It all starts with the life that you gave me

If only I could count so high

The numerous things you have given me

Would overtake the reaches of the sky

It goes beyond the food on my plate

And the shelter you’ve placed over my head

It’s not even open for debate

The fact that your son’s blood was shed

Or what about the ground that I walk on

And the friends you place by my side

And who could forget the feelings beyond

Like the filling of my heart deep inside

To ensure that I have given you the thanks you deserve

I would speak the words Thank You ‘til I lost my nerve

My only hope is that you’re willing to accept

One big Thank You for the promises you’ve kept
