“Lost”

 

Mind numbing thoughts of the lost and confused

Right now I feel so broken and abused

I can’t seem to sort the things that fill my mind

Sometimes I don’t know what I am trying to find

Answers don’t come easy in times like these

Give me ears to hear and eyes to see

I don’t even know what to say right now

Except that I need you now more than ever

The emptiness that subsides in my heart

Because I have run so far away from you

So many questions run through my head

As I write what comes to my mind

Lost is the key word in this poem that I write

That is what I am now more than I have ever been

With the exception of before I knew you

When I was so lost that there was nowhere to turn

 

Now I have you, Thank God, now I have you

I would be nowhere without you

I give it all up to you as I lie on the floor

Catch me as I fall
