Back In Your Arms

 

When it seems as though I have run away

A distance so far that any man can not reach

You reach out to me and bring me back

As I rest in your arms, back where I belong

 

I am sorry that I fell back from where I was

As if I forgot the destination I was yearning for

The road I was on was leading me astray

Until finally I remembered what I had in you

 

It’s hard to be a fragile human who fails so often

But I long to be more like you, Lord Jesus

You paved the way for us to follow your steps

And all we have to do is keep our eyes on the road

 

Help me to keep my eyes open and focused

My destination is wherever you are

There is no other place I would rather be

Than here in your arms where I belong
