Fighter squadron. Formed on 10.1.1940. After the Winter War on
27.3.1940 squadron was attached to a new Flying Regiment 3 and
was re-named as Flying Squadron 32 (LLv.32). At that stage
squadron had already 17 BWs.

Säkylä (Pyhäjärvi), 8.3.-10.3.40 Hollola (Pyhäniemi)
Detachment was formed in January 1940 for conversion training and
flying Hawker Hurricane I fighters from Great Britain to Finland.
Subordinated to Flying Squadron 22 in March 1940.

Detachment left Finland on 30.1.1940 and arrived in St. Athens on
5.2 for training. Six Hurricanes led by Lt. J. Räty were flown to
Västerås, Sweden through Norway between 25.2. - 29.2.1940. Planes
had Finnish civilian codes before they arrived in Finland. Another group
of six Hurricanes led by 2Lt. T. Taskinen flew to Västerås between
28.2. - 6.3.1940. HU461 was damaged at Wick and was left there.
HU462 was lost near Stavanger, Norway when it missed in a bad
weather. Six planes arrived in Finland on 7.3., three a day after and
one on 10.3.1940.
