During January 1942 Staff/4.RPr. (Commander
Lt.Col. N. Kesämaa) with its staff formations
and personnel for two artillery batteries and four
repulse companies arrived from Hanko Group (HR)
to the northern sector of Lake Onega. Initially 4.Rpr.
was operationally subordinated to Group Oinonen
(RO) which was securing the coasts of northern Lake Onega.
RO was suspended in April 1942.
Ään.RPr. was re-organized for the
first time by the end of January and again during May/June
1942 and 4.Rpr. was also re-named as RTR 14.
In winter and spring 1942 Ään.LOs. acted as
temporary Sea Battalion [Meripataljoona].
