Clan Wars Characters

In Clan Wars there are no true "rules"about your character and no "stats". It isn't a game or RPG, but a story created by posting messages that flow with the story.

Therefore, to effect the story, you must have acharacter, or more than one.

You will need a name for your character. Try not to use a generic name like Bob, or Joe, or Betty, or Andrew, or something like that. BE creative, be original. If we see a character with a name stolen from a book or movie, say, Lord of the Rings, that character will no longer be allowed to post.

Next you will need a race for your character. Put thought into this. Will you be a Giant? An Elf? A man or a dwarf? Or something else entirely? You may, of course, use the already created races, but you may also make up your own. But be sure you can accurately describe your race and how you look. Other players need to know how to envision your character to make a successful story. And also, be reasonable. Don't make a race that is supremely powerful, or undefeatable, or anything like that. And don't forget, anything that the mods don't think falls within the boundaries of "reasonable" can and will be deleted.

Now you need to know what your character is. IS he a wizard, a warrior, a king, a lowly serf? Feel free to be creative on this one. Its always nice to have non-generic characters. But also, when you name your new "class" if you make one, look up the word you are using to name it. Calling a skilled melee warrior a "barbarian" just doesn't cut it. Think fo something accurate to your skills.

NExt you will have to develop your characters appearance. This includes clothes, weapons, how they physically look, etc. Anything deemed innapropriate by the mods will be deleted. You can not use pictures to show how your character looks.

Lastly your character needs a personality. This will develop slowly and only as the story grows. Feel free to drop hints as to what kind of personailty your character has, but if he/she doesn't fit with the story with their given personality, have them suddenly die, or just remove them, or, if you can do this seemlessly, change their personality. Don't mess up the story for the sake of keeping your character how you want it to be.

Now that you have a character, you are ready to go. Just introduce yourself at wherever you have decided to start (in a city of your race works well) and play along with the story, contribute to it where needed, and enjoy Clan Wars.
