Peoples of Mishfrem
Men
Of men much is told in the songs and books of Mishfrem that shall here, be summarized. Men, it is said, came out of the hills of Dilmarth as servants of the dark. They were fell and evil to look upon. Little was their knowledge but they desired more which the darkness could not give. For in men there dwelled a great desire of light and knowledge. But the lords of evil could turn this against them as greed. And so they unleashed them upon the realms of Mishfrem as a new weapon in the seemingly endless war. But events turned ill against them and men fled from the dark. For they saw now the light of the sun again and they came to the sea where the light shimmered and danced upon the waters. Thus it came that the kindred of men was divided into four kingdoms. Two of the remained loyal to the darkness and they were called the Julktu and the Olyinjulk. The Julktu took up a dwelling in the south of the hills from whence they came while the Olyinjulk abode at the foot of the great mountains. The speeches and ways of these two peoples grew sundered from that of the other two kingdoms. And they were bitter foes. As for the other two kindreds, the Lithmini, and the Kalrak, they became enamored of the sea and built great ships and thus came upon the peaceful lands of Lithielmis. The great Lords that ever dwelled there and kept watch on Mishfrem , seeing that the ships of men dared to draw nigh them, sent a great storm and wind out of the west and destroyed a great fleet. Thus were men ever angered at the Lords of the West. And they named them Mishtoltu, which is Great Red Anger in their speech. But still after that the good men, who were known as the Wosimart, short lived, by the others of the earth befriended the peoples of Mishfrem and became great foes of the Darkness. The members of the houses of Kalrak and Lithmini often grew to be nigh on 400 years old while among the evil men few lived to be even three score. But there came to be yet another house. They were of a noble breed never before corrupted by the evil malice of the Lords of Darkness. They were tall and strong. But still they remained proud and were noble in heart. They lived still longer than their kin. Though it came to pass that they never took up a home or dwelling place and wandered. Thus they became the Cilmrin, sundered people in the tongues of the elves. Their king was Marfinos. And he was mighty in arms.
Elves
Elves where, of old the only people of Mishfrem until the rise of the darkness. They lived in great bliss among the trees of Mishfrem and by the rivers and seas. Among them there was but one king. He lived to the age of 1798. For elves were not immortal, though they lived to a great span of days. But he had two sons. Helbrethim and Edmiel. These two sons grew both to be great. Helbrethim was the elder of the two and was the mightiest of stature and might. He became the Lord Tielfrem in the south. To him came the Peninsula of Tielfrem and all lands west of the nearby mountains of the sea. But Edmiel was considered less than his brother. And he became bitter. For he was great in wisdom and had great council. Though he still was considered lesser in the council he gave to the Elven king for he was the younger and weaker. But in secret he sowed seeds of dissent among the people of Tielfrem. Thus when the Darkness arose in the east the kingdom of Tielfrem seemed weak and divided to the Lords of Darkness. And then Edmiel wept for he knew that it would stand against all but for his treachery. And then though he was less of stature and weaker in arms he led a great host from the north to the defense of his brother and he delayed the enemy long enough for the defense of Tielfrem to be prepared. But in this great battle he perished under the blow of a great Flame Troll who smote him down with his great axe and then the forces of Edmiel fell back in dismay. They fled into the north with Edmiels son Frethdin. Thus it came to be the Frethdin was come to the throne of the Northern elves who named themselves Delecon, which is Anguish in elven.
Dwarves
In the depths of the earth and in the darkness of the caves there came to be yet a third race deemed mighty in the eyes of the Mishtoltu. They were the Dwarves, Great joy they took in digging deeper into the earth but as they dug deeper the longed more and more for light. But light they could not have but for the light of flame and it was not pleasing. Thus it came to be that they began to dig upwards. And at great length the broke through the surface near a great river in the north. They were named by the lords of the west Grimvar, short people. But for them the Realm of Delecon would have fallen for they were come in the heat of war. A great host of foul things was marching westward but a few miles south of them and they grew angry. For wherever this host went they brought fire and slaughter and the destruction of light which the Dwarves loved. Thus it came to be that the entire Dwarven people came forth from their caves and slew one of the greatest hosts of evil ever to walk north of the mountains. In return the elves of Delecon gave to them all of the lands north of the Ruins of Tielhimor and south of the tall downs. Also they gave to them the forest region of Mishtyolim and all things therein. And the dwarves became great allies of the elves of the north and great were their forges and caves. They resisted the hordes of darkness for long ere the elves had recovered enough to give sufficient aid. Thus it was that the dwarves came to Mishfrem.
Darosians
Little is known of the Darosians. Long did they remain secret and hidden in their realm of Yelivinar, for so it is called in their tongue. It means Hidden Paradise. They are entirely different from all other of the races of good. They are immortal and wise. Yet they are the strongest of war as well. But for all of this they have refused the call to war for they deem their lands stronger still than the Darkness. And so they have earned the bitter hatred of men and elves. The Darosians are a winged people. They have wingspans often reaching nigh on 30 feet. They do not need to flap their wings to fly and their bodies have a tail attached at the back that is long and powerful. Upon it they stand when on the ground. They have long and powerful arms and tusks upon their heads. They in fact greatly resemble the evil servants of the Darkness. But they hate it. All the same they stay aloof from the wars of Mishfrem and look upon them with no pity. But there is one among them who carries upon his shoulders a great doom and from him great deeds shall come of war, peace, and skill.

Appendix of Weapons and Armor
Weapons and Armor of the Elves
The elves wear a light-weight armor made of the hide of an animal called the Mishcarfus, Great Skin in Elven, and it is bright white. It glistens brightly in the sun but becomes pitch black in darkness. Their shoulders are covered by cuffs from the animals shoulder. It sweeps gracefully downward to halfway down their arms. Then there is a flexible plate of the animals armor like skin over their elbows and wrists. Their hands are covered by leather gloves. The breast plate of their armor is a thin sheet of metal supporting the hide and it bends over their chest very closely. All armor is hand made and custom to its bearer. They wear a chain mail skirt covered by a cross-work of thin pieces of the animal hide. They then wear white steel greaves and a steel helm or helmet. Their armor is light and strong. The elves bear light swords of white steel that are slightly flared at the bottom. They are wide at the base for an inch then become 1 1/2 inches wide for the length of the blade and tapers to a point at the tip. They blades average about 3 to 4 feet long. The bows of the elves are of magnificent craftsmanship and made of a white wood from the great trees in the uncorrupted heart of the forests of Mishfrem. They are usually nearly 6 feet tall.
Weapons and Armor of Men
There is much variation in the Wargear of men. The Cilmrin often go unarmored while the Lithmini where armor much akin to the elves. Though it is black. The Lords of the Lithmini wear elven armor that is black and a white cape. The Kalrak wear thick and blockish plate armor made of steel. Their armor is heavy and unwieldy but great of strength. Few things can pierce it. The Lithmini are poor archers but skilled in the art of swordsmanship. They also are skilled horsemen. The Kalrak bear great spears and also are skilled with horses. The Cilmrin bear short bows of a dark wood and short swords, though the kings among them are rumored to share in the tradition of the Lithmini and bear long black swords fringed in a brilliant white steel that radiates of its own light. The Dark Men, who stayed loyal to evil, bear crude armor that varies from steel plate picked up on the battlefield to crude chain mail and leather armor of their own craftsmanship. Their weapons vary in the same way.
Weapons and Armor of the Dwarves
The Dwarves forge the strongest armor of all. They go into battle wearing black face masks showing terrifying faces and great battle helms. Their armor is made of a strange red steel that is immensely strong. It can only rarely be pierced by any weapon in the arsenal of the darkness. None can match it for strength though it is very heavy and can become cumbersome. They also carry rounded shields bearing the crests of their family and skills upon them. Dwarven armies are truly a fearsome sight.
