| Encouraged to explore creativity, I began formally studying oil painting under Marilyn Wannamaker when I was thirteen years old, concentrating on landscapes, animals, and portraiture. While attending Millington Central High School, I participated in advanced art classes, earning college credit for Advanced Placement art classes taken at Memphis College of Art. I went on to major in fine arts in college, earning my Bachelor's of Fine Arts from University of Memphis in 1995. | ||||||||||||
