He was a founding member of two cooperative galleries in Massachusetts before moving to Maine where he and his wife founded the McGrath Dunham Gallery, now in it's 20th year and representing over fifty artists. He has served on the board of governors at the Rockport Art Assn., is a past president of the Rocky Neck Art Association in Gloucester, MA and is a founding member of the Castine Arts Association.
