I also have a fenced in back yard and after I read your story, I keep my eye out for my little Rocky & Rosie when they are out and don't take for granted they will be safe. I share your pain. My beloved, 7 year old Old English Sheepdog Trouble was takin in the same way your Squekers was. Unfortunatly she was never found. Don't give up hope miracles do happen. I hope sqeaker turns up soon! I'm from england and I was brought up with a fiesty little yorkie called Peggy. She used to hide inside our garden gate and attack anything in trousers that walked by! She never bit or caused damage to anyone but I'm sure she laughed as she ran back in the garden. Sadly she went to the great boneyard a long time ago but once owned never forgotten. So sorry. I have a very sweet and shy 2 pound chihuahua and I often have this same fear. When they are so small and sweet, not to count so valuable, I never know if some wierd person would kidnap them for resale or for themselves. I know this would just t ke a second. I would be never quit feeling the fear for my pup if he was gone from us. I can only say that before the days of computer I have taken a dog in from the street to my home and found a cousin who cared for him for over ten years. Someone may be caring for your dog and you may not know it as the family of the dog I found did not k ow that the dog I found was quickly loved.

I've had a yorkie and now have a tzu(Shih TZu) I also don't think they look alike but f people aren't familiar with either breed I'm sure they can get mixed up. Where was this dog missing from? I really pray that you find Squeaker; I know how it feels for a beloved pet to be taken from you. The Yorkie I lost was not as small, but I really loved him. I have a red Yorkshire Terrier that is 6 inches tall and weighs 3 pounds. I know that he is not the normal color, but he is very very special to me. I would not take a million dollars or more for him. It would absolutely kill me to lose him. I really and truly believe that he is a gift from God! Because he came into my life when I really needed something to love and that would love me and he does. He has amber eyes and a chocolate nose and he is the only red his mom has ever had. Good luck, I will pray that you find Squeaker for your friend. It is like losing a child; especially in my case, I could never have children!

A tiny word of advice when Squeeker is home please get him micro chipped. It is a sure way that ev ntually be returned to you. They cannot hide from the chips. All dogs take a trip to the vet sometime! They are checked if they are new to the vets office and the chip will be tracked to you. All my dogs have them. Tess will be saying her prayers fo Squeeker too. I hope he is home soon!

The dog catcher that came to pick her up said that he finds lots of dogs but people never bother to check with them.
