PRC, Australia & Costa Rica!
I spent 6 months in the People's
Republic of China (PRC) teaching English in the sparkling Metropolis
of Wuhan during 1998-1999. I taught oral English and business concepts to about 200
University students through a program set up by the Council on
International Educational Exchange (CIEE). An amazing experience and one that I highly recommend. Course, I managed to lose 30 pounds from the all-rice diet, injested about 30 pounds of pollution, sampled duck's feet and brain... and met some of the humblest, friendliest people on Earth.

Costa Rica
I also did a brief tour of duty in Costa Rica in July of '99. I
spent a month down there to refresh my Spanish and live the hard
life once again. I even learned to surf... and got a speeding
ticket.
