Kibbutz Volunteer
During the summer of 2001 I ventured to Israel in order to work as a 'Kibbutz Volunteer.' I served as a volunteer at Kibbutz Geva, located in northern Israel, near Nazareth. My fellow volunteers were an eclectic lot of vagabonds, wanderers, and great people. The following are some photos of the life and times of Kibbutz Geva.
Egypt:
Cairo
Pyramids
Abu Simbel
Kibbutz Geva:
Kibbutz Geva
Jdr, Gardener
Gardening Staff
My Hebrew Class
Swimming Pool
Football Team
Volunteer's Chill
Fish Packing
Israel:
The Wailing Wall
The Dead Sea
Anyway, good times, good people... but a troubled region. The intifada was in full swing during my trip, but I felt relatively safe. And, yes, I do strongly recommend a Kibbutz adventure for all and would love to answer any question that you may have.
