With few clues since that fateful day, the family and those closest to Amy began to suspect that Amy�s husband Robert Desmond may hold the vital information on Amy�s whereabouts.
It is reported that the Desmond allegedly had threatened to take out Amy�s entire family on one occasion, prompting them to get a restraining order to keep him away from the family. This caused Amy to become estranged from her relatives to fall deeper and deeper into an unhealthily relationship with Robert Desmond.
On other occasions, coworkers reported that Amy displayed signs of severe emotional and physical abuse from Robert Desmond.
