| Scientific Name: Serinus mozambicus Origin: Zimbabwe Size: 10-12cm Description: Male Grey-green crown, nape, scapulars, mantle under tail and back. A grey-green moustache from the mandible around to the ear coverts. Rump and upper tail are yellow. The forehead, eye stripe, cheek, throat and breast are rich yellow. Female Similar to male but has the edition of a necklace of black spots accross the throat. |

| It is such a joy to hear these birds sing. Although the male sings better, clearer and for longer my female joins in and adds her own little magic. I can't say that they sing better that the average canary but it is a treat to hear. |
