Viewers Like You!
Well, in a way this is kind of like a "letter to the editors" column, I guess.  *shrugs*  It's easy, really.  You just write us a letter with a question of some sort (or praise! we'll accept shameless flattery, too!) and we answer it here.  It's a win-win situation; you might find your question answered here and we don't have to keep on answering the same questions over and over and over and over and over and over and over and...

...  *rolls eyes and whacks Hawk*

over.  *coughs*  Well, you get the idea...  *clears her throat*  Our first shamelessly flaunted letter comes from
Pheonix, who writes:

"What's taking this damn hiatus so long?!?!?!  There's two of you, god dammit, so it should take half the time to update!  ::pauses and whines some more::  I'm being deprived of the Triumph!  And Poe!  Poe rocks!!!  I miss Poe!  ::sobs::  Shoot me now!  ::falls over dead::"

O_O

*smiles faintly*  I like this one.  In answer to your question, Pheonix, it took so long becuase we couldn't agree on what to do with the site.  I was in favor of staying more or less the same, thus diminishing the time it would take to work on the site, but Hawk thought it was old and wanted to try something new.  In the end we did it her way, which was more or less expected anyway.

*grumbles*  Who would miss you?

Pheonix, obviously.  I think it's my charming personality.

*hacks up a lung*  WHAT?  Hey, I'm charming!  What makes you better than me?

Well, I'm not the one hacking up a lung.

*scowls and fishes out another e-mail*  This next one is from Star, who writes:

"Um...  Hi.  ^^  I've been coming to your site for a long time and I've finally decided to ask a few questions that have been bugging me for a little while.  First of all, are you two sure you don't have some sort of secret crush on each other?  Just curious.  Second, Hawk, why is it "Clowd"?  Was it a spelling mistake and you meant "Cloud"?  Does it drive you crazy when people get it wrong and say "Hawk Cloud"?  Next, why is this site dedicated to several things but only posts Gundam Wing stuff?  And, last, I've got a comment.  You two are so funny together!  I've never been to another site that has a whole "we hate each other's guts" gimmick going on, and I think it's great.  ^^  It's what really keeps me coming back here."

*both Hawk and Poe read letter twice and burst into hysterical laughter*

*wipes away a tear*  Whoo, that's funny...  Poe and me...  *snork!*

We get that question a lot, actually, and to answer it once and for all, we possess no semblance of adoration or fondness for each other.  We only tolerate each other for the sake of this site.  We are not in love.

*suddenly serious*  We're not?  *dodges Poe's death glare*  Just kidding!  Jeez, don't burst a blood vessel on my account...  In answer to your second question, Star, the Clowd in my name is sort of an honorific dedication to my great-grandmother, whose maiden name was "Clowde."  One day, when I typed it, I accidentally dropped the 'e' and "Clowd" stuck.  ^_^  No, it doesn't piss me off when people type it wrong.  For the most part, I know who they mean and that's all that matters, really.

You wouldn't say that if I typed it wrong.

That's because you're supposed to know better.

Oh.  As for your last question, Star, we know that our site is sadly depleted of anything besides Gundam Wing, but we are working on that.  If you look around, you'll find that we are trying to move the focus off of Gundam Wing.  It is simply that Gundam Wing is more popular in the fandom world.

And I know more about it than I do any other anime, so it's easier for me to find GW stuff.  ^_^  Lastly, I've got to let you in on a little secret here- the whole "we hate each other" thing?  It's not a gimmick.  ^_^  We do that naturally, and I like it too.

I knew there was a reason you didn't decide to change the account password and lock me out of the goings-on of the site...

*coughs*  Right.  That was it. (And that I have no idea what I'm doing, but we'll ignore that...)
Go on, write to us!  You know you want to!  What could be better than having your question answered via the site?

Well, we could answer them via e-mail, but that doesn't give us a written guarantee that you'll came back to see if we put your letter up...  So... yeah.  Write us!
Yay, we've got more letters to add!  We received all of these during our long anti-war hiatus and we're ready to post them and answer them now!  Here goes!  Our first letter is really long and it comes from Justin Teroy, who writes:

"To the web masters of the Final Triumph: I've been a regular viewer of the Triumph since I discovered it two Decembers ago, and I think a lot of great things have happened since then. Besides the most recent layout and the added authors/artists, the quality of the site and of the things featured there has continued to improve. I do have a few questions I would like to ask, however. First, what is going to happen with Poe now that NK has joined the crew? I know that Poe and Hawk were looking for a new co-host in order to allow them both some more free time and to let Poe stop having to deal with the place, since he doesn't know about anime and didn't appreciate having to work with the site. However, the little rivalries between the two of them were always amusing and I enjoyed reading about them, whether they were made up or no. Now that NK is here, will Poe quietly fade away, never to appear again, or will he still show up once in awhile in order to fight one out with Hawk? Similarly, how does NK feel about replacing one of the original members of the Triumph team? Exactly what sort of new changes does she (assuming, of course, that NK is a girl) intend to bring about so far as the site is concerned? Any new sections? Any new features? Also, I'd like to ask Hawk if she plans to remain the Triumph web-hostess, and for how long. Will she be pulling a Poe anytime soon? Last, but certainly not least, I'd like to mention that I think closing the site down for the war was an interesting but perhaps not particularly wise idea. I'm from the UK myself and maybe you would say that I consequently do not have the same feelings about this war as you do, but I can't say I appreciate having the Triumph taken away so suddenly. Just think of all the new viewers you're turning away now that the site is down! They'll click a link and decide it isn't worth the wait, then never come back. I'm glad you're standing up for what you believe in and supporting your views in any way possible, but I'm not sure closing the site was a great idea. I'm expecting some fantastic updates when the site comes back up! Thanks for answering my questions, and keep up the good work.
