       "All I've ever known is pain and destruction. It was how I was raised; to be a soldier. I have been fighting all of my life, and now the battle is finally over. Many lives have been foolishly lost. What do I do now? The boy started walking down the dark street with his hands shoved in his pockets.

       "How am I supposed to live in this world now? Knowing what I've done, remembering all of the pain I caused? How can I change my life to adjust to this new world?" He looked around at all of the crumbling buildings and broken earth.

       "Is the world really ready for me? Can I be accepted? Can I accept myself?" The boy kicked a small piece of cement, and watched as it sailed through the air only to plummet back to the ground.
